The BlackCarService.NYC fleet, in detail

BlackCarService.NYC operates a 30+ vehicle fleet across four classes designed to cover every NYC tri-state black-car use case. The luxury sedan tier — Lincoln MKT and Mercedes-Benz E-Class — handles solo and couples airport runs, daily corporate commute, and Greenwich-to-Midtown residential pickups at $95 flat to JFK. The executive SUV tier — Cadillac Escalade ESV and Chevrolet Suburban — covers families with luggage, small executive groups, and any trip with 3+ bags per passenger at $125 flat to JFK. The first-class tier — Mercedes-Benz S-Class — is the default for C-suite executives, dignitaries, and private-aviation arrivals at Teterboro (TEB) and Westchester (HPN) at $145 flat to JFK; rear executive seats heat, ventilate, and recline, with optional cabin partition. The Sprinter tier — Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van — handles 10–14 passenger group transport, wedding parties, and corporate roadshow logistics at $195 flat to JFK. Every active vehicle is 3 model years or newer; sedans rotate at 2 years or 80,000 miles, the S-Class rotates at 2 years or 60,000 miles, SUVs at 3 years or 100,000 miles, Sprinters at 4 years or 150,000 miles. Each carries $5M combined-single-limit commercial liability — five times the NY State for-hire minimum.

Luxury Sedan

Lincoln MKT / Mercedes-Benz E-Class

2023–2025 model years

The Lincoln MKT and Mercedes-Benz E-Class are our daily-driver luxury sedans — the workhorses of the fleet. The MKT is the executive variant with extended wheelbase, leather captain seating in the rear, and the most luggage capacity of any sedan in the segment. The E-Class trims newer (2024–2025 inventory) carry the AMG handling package and the third-row drop-down armrest with rear-display console. Both seat 3 adults comfortably and clear 3 standard checked bags plus 2 carry-on rollers in the trunk. This is the right vehicle for a solo or couples airport run from Manhattan, a Greenwich CT residential pickup, or a daily corporate commute.

Executive SUV

Cadillac Escalade ESV / Chevrolet Suburban

2023–2025 model years

The Cadillac Escalade ESV (extended wheelbase variant) and Chevrolet Suburban are our executive SUVs. Both seat 6 adults across captain chairs in the second row and a bench third row, with luggage capacity for a family-of-four international itinerary plus stroller and golf bags. The ESV is the standard pick for VIP and corporate clients who want the more aggressive front fascia and ProActive Safety package; the Suburban is the cost-quiet workhorse for family-of-five Hamptons and JFK runs. The $30 premium over the sedan is the cheapest upgrade in the fleet for a couple with two checked bags each — you get a far more comfortable ride and four extra cubic feet of cargo. 2023–2025 inventory only.

First Class Sedan

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

2024–2025 model years

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the flagship of the fleet and the most-requested vehicle for C-suite executives, dignitaries, and family-office principals. Reclining heated-and-ventilated rear executive seats, a 4-zone climate system, Burmester 4D audio, and an optional privacy partition between cabin and chauffeur make it the only sedan we offer that genuinely competes with a private jet's ground experience. The S-Class is the default ground vehicle for our Teterboro (TEB) and Westchester (HPN) FBO arrivals — clients flying private into TEB get the S-Class on the tarmac unless they request otherwise. We carry 2024 and 2025 model years exclusively in this class; sedans are rotated out at 2 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Luxury Sprinter

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van

2022–2025 model years

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van is our 10–14 passenger luxury group transport. The fleet includes 6 Sprinter Vans configured in two layouts: the conference layout (10 captain seats, opposing rear bench, removable center table — best for corporate roadshow and M&A deal-team transport) and the airport-shuttle layout (14 forward-facing seats, rear cargo area for 14+ bags — best for wedding parties, Hamptons share runs, and large-family JFK Terminal 1 international arrivals). Stand-up high-roof cabin, Wi-Fi hotspot, premium audio, and a smart TV. Sprinter bookings have a 3-hour minimum at $175/hour, or a flat $195 for JFK transfers (single-direction, up to 90 minutes including loading). For weddings the dispatch team pre-routes the hotel-ceremony-reception circuit with a chauffeur who has worked at least 30 wedding events.

How to choose the right vehicle

Vehicle selection is straightforward at BlackCarService.NYC: match passenger count and luggage to the right class, with a small upgrade premium for executive use cases. For 1–2 passengers with 1–2 bags each — the most common booking pattern — the luxury sedan (Lincoln MKT or Mercedes-Benz E-Class) at $95 JFK flat is the right answer. For 3 passengers, the sedan still works but the SUV gives noticeably more comfort. For 4–6 passengers or any group with 3+ bags per person, step up to the Cadillac Escalade ESV or Chevrolet Suburban at $125 JFK flat — the cheapest upgrade in the fleet relative to the comfort and cargo gain. For C-suite executives, family-office principals, or anyone arriving at Teterboro (TEB) or Westchester (HPN) by private jet, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class at $145 JFK flat is the default; reclining heated and ventilated rear executive seats, optional privacy partition, Burmester audio, and a pricing premium of $50 over the standard sedan. For groups of 7 or more, wedding parties, corporate roadshow teams, or family-of-five international JFK Terminal 1 arrivals with check-bags-per-person counts, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van at $195 JFK flat (or $175/hour with a 3-hour minimum on hourly) is the only correct answer — no other vehicle in the fleet seats more than 6. When in doubt, the dispatch team at (646) 798-6550 will recommend the correct class based on luggage, distance, and group composition; about 8% of bookings get a vehicle upgrade recommendation at no extra cost when fleet availability allows.

Maintenance, inspection, and safety standards

Every BlackCarService.NYC vehicle runs on a documented maintenance and inspection schedule audited monthly by the operations team. Each vehicle receives a full multi-point inspection weekly — 52 inspections per year per vehicle — covering tires, brakes, fluids, lighting, safety equipment, and interior condition. Preventive maintenance is performed every 5,000 miles regardless of manufacturer schedule, and tires are replaced at 4/32" tread depth, one increment more conservative than the legal NY State minimum of 2/32". The Mercedes-Benz S-Class first-class fleet runs the tightest standard — 2 years or 60,000 miles before retirement — because it carries our highest-tier corporate and family-office clients. Every vehicle is fully detailed daily before its first booking and after the final booking of the night; mid-day quick-detail (interior wipe-down, water restock, charger reset, exterior rinse) happens between every airport pair. Each vehicle carries $5M combined-single-limit commercial liability insurance — five times the NY State for-hire minimum of $1M — through a primary carrier audited annually by the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission. All four classes are TLC-compliant and carry current TLC base medallions. Records of inspections, maintenance, and insurance certificates are available on request for corporate-account clients during onboarding.

Insider tips: what we'd book if we were you

A few patterns we've learned from running 38,000+ trips a year. The Cadillac Escalade ESV at $125 JFK flat is the single best value in the fleet — for a couple with 4 bags total, the $30 premium over the sedan buys you noticeably more cargo room and a more comfortable rear cabin during a 75–90-minute Van Wyck Expressway run. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is overkill for the standard JFK or LGA airport run — the sedan handles the same trip cleanly, and the S-Class premium ($50) is best spent on Teterboro tarmac arrivals or M&A road-show days where you actually use the privacy partition and reclining seats. The Sprinter Van's 3-hour minimum at $175/hour means it stops being cost-effective for solo airport runs even at the flat $195 JFK rate; if you're a couple, the SUV is the right answer regardless of luggage volume. For Hamptons summer Friday afternoons, the Sprinter is the only vehicle that handles 7+ passengers with luggage on the LIE; book at least 48 hours ahead because the 6-Sprinter sub-fleet fills first. For winter weather (snow, ice, freezing rain), the SUVs and the Sprinter are the right call over the sedans — all-wheel drive on the Escalade ESV and Suburban handles the Van Wyck and the GWB approach far more confidently than the rear-drive sedan platform. For TEB and HPN private-aviation arrivals, the S-Class is automatic unless you explicitly downgrade — that's our internal default for any FBO-flagged booking.

Client voices

What clients say about the fleet

★★★★★
"Booked a 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class for a TEB tarmac pickup last month — 6 PM Friday during a Hamptons run. The car was spotless, climate already chilled, the Burmester sound was actually competing with my G650 cabin audio. The chauffeur knew the FBO entrance code without asking. That's the difference between a black car and a luxury black car."

★★★★★
"Used the Sprinter Van for our wedding in Bridgehampton — 12 person family-and-bridal-party loop from the Topping Rose to the ceremony venue and back. Driver had done 40+ Hamptons weddings, knew all the back-road shortcuts when Montauk Highway backed up. The conference seating layout actually let us touch up makeup en route. $175/hr was money well spent over a Suburban-and-shuttle hack."
